With the focus on the US over the last couple of weeks, I thought it about time to look at the DRV forces.

For both games the DRV player gets the choice of SAMs and Aircraft.  SAMs are straight forward and I use the CinC Miniatures 1/300 SA-2 Missile as a marker on a 40mm base.  It protects the model better.

With Aircraft the DRV have 3 choices of type (disregarding various models of each type).

Mig-17 - The workhorse of the DRV for most of our period.  This is one of the first I painted up using the wings palette site as a guide.  I can't find this scheme any more on the site which is a pity as I wanted to check the nose serial number.  This one has a home made 4 digit number 3020 from another aircraft.  But I am a wargamer so this will do for me.  I have 4 aircraft in the collection 3 camo and 1 plain metal.  For Downtown this is probably enough.

MiG-21  The "Blue Bandit"  I have 4 in my collection.  2 plain metal the other with green spodges/dots applied as a disruptive patteren to the upper surfaces.  PHOTO TO FOLLOW

MiG-19  Appeared late in the DRV inventory.  For some reason I can only find a pair of model in my box.  Both these are plain metal and againt PHOTO TO FOLLOW.
