I played around with making my own decals to supplement the excellent ones from Dom's Decals (the HH-53C has his National Insignia), which for USN aircraft with the light paint schemes have done me okay (remember these are all 1/600th aircraft).

The USN aircraft have the homemade decals in the form of

• the Sun on the rear fin of VF-111, side fuseage NAVY, Carrier Name and the step markings on top of the engines
• The numbering on the A-6 nose and tail as well as the tail dart and carrier airgroup lettering
